President

 

Susan Word, SPHR

 

The President shall be the President of the Board of Directors and preside at the meetings of the Association and of the Board. They shall direct the Chapter and have charge and supervision of the affairs and business of WCHRMA. Provides leadership and works closely with the Board to achieve the association's purpose, goals and objectives. They shall maintain liaison and be a current member in good standing with SHRM.

President-Elect

 

                    

                    

Sherry Johnson, PHR

 

The President-Elect, at the request of the President, or in their absence or disability, may perform any of the duties of the President. Assists the President in achieving association responsibilities. Chairs the nominating committee for current and upcoming Board positions. Works closely with the Treasurer to ensure financial viability of the association. They shall have such other powers and perform such other liaison duties as the Board or the President may determine.

Secretary

The Secretary shall be responsible for recording the minutes of all meetings of WCHRMA, shall be responsible for making all members aware of such meetings, and shall be responsible for coordinating the printing and distribution of the Chapter newsletter.

Treasurer

 

 

 

Bob Calvisi

 

The Treasurer shall be responsible for the financial affairs of WCHRMA. The Treasurer shall be authorized to sign checks on the Association's bank account, provided however that checks in excess of $1,000 must be signed by both the President and the Treasurer. The Treasurer shall ensure the receipt and deposit of monies of the Association in a bank account approved by the Board of Directors; keep an itemized record of receipts and disbursements; make disbursements by check; and render monthly financial statements and an annual report to the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall report to the Board of Directors monthly and the general membership once per year. They shall also arrange for the annual examination audit of the accounts as may be required by the Board.

VP of Membership

The Vice President of Membership shall coordinate and oversee the recruitment and admission of new members to the Association; ensure that the membership provisions of these By-Laws are followed correctly; and chair the activities of the Membership Committee.

VP of Communications

 

James Lumpkin, MBA
 

The Vice President of Communications will be responsible for providing timely and comprehensive information and other matters of interest about the chapter to its members as well as the external public. They will create and maintain a favorable image of the chapter by overseeing and managing marketing and public relations activities of the chapter. This position will be responsible for guiding the following activities: management of the chapter website, regular publication of newsletter, drafting and maintenance of promotional materials, regular promotional activities of the association, assist with special events advertising.

VP of Programs

Meta Pugh, SPHR

 

The Vice President of Programs shall serve as the Chairperson of the Programs Committee. The responsibility includes programs conducted at all regular meetings of the members, social functions, and any workshops and seminars sponsored by the Chapter as determined by the President and the Board.

Past President

Carl Dodd, SPHR

 

Remains actively involved with the Board in an advisory capacity while assuming additional responsibilities mutually agreed upon by the President.
